I went to London to see the Queen...and I also went to Laduree (how could I not?) and Hummingbird Bakery. And after my dreadful sushi from EAT that woopie cake from Hummingbird went down very well I can tell you!

Gateaux de Nimes is live!
A few weeks ago the guys at Tenue de Nimes asked me if I could 'make 'big cakes'...like the ones in Laduree, you know?' They said...
They are the only store in Holland to sell Nike's new Air Royal trainers, based on the colours of Laduree in Paris. So naturally they wanted a Laduree/bakery style window.
And it was a success! As we were doing their window 3 pairs on Nike's were sold and we were wondering if there'd be any left for the opening on friday.....

Gille & Thera's wedding cake
On Monday I made this wedding cake for my friend Darlaine's parents who were married today. She helped me bake some love into it by helping with the icing flowers. Inside was chocolate and fig ;) delicious apparently. Send me a piece?
